The Band
Michael Kaufman is the rhythm guitarist and a lead vocalist for ACE & Friends. Mike previously co-founded the Stella Blues Band, a leading New York area Grateful Dead tribute band. Mike has been a devotee of Bob Weir for many years. In addition to being a student of the Grateful Dead and Bob Weir, Mike studies jazz guitar and has a successful IT consulting business.

Larry Siebert is the lead guitarist for ACE, and appreciates the sound of many blues, rock and jazz guitarists and incorporating them into his playing including, of course, Jerry Garcia. A licensed attorney, Larry was an investment banker and CEO of a public company. Having received Certificates in Guitar and Jazz from the Berklee School of Music, Larry is now in the Berklee Online Bachelor of Guitar Studies degree program and is involved in other music projects as well.

Mark Mattson, keyboards and lead vocals. Mark Mattson’s first Grateful Dead concert was 9/8/73 at the Nassau Coliseum, and he saw them live 51 times. His keyboard influences include Keith Godchaux, Nicky Hopkins, Bruce Hornsby, Chuck Leavell, Page McConnell, Garth Hudson, and Steve Nieve. In addition to playing with Ace, he performs classic rock, Grateful Dead, and Phish with Tiberius, Eric Fayer, Fred Scholl, and Big Phun. Mark is a long-time taper, even though actual tapes are generally no longer used, and he regularly participates in the Grateful Dead Scholars Caucus, with a published chapter on memories for Grateful Dead concerts and a chapter coming out on expressive and structural variations in performances of some Grateful Dead songs.

Larry Young, lead vocals - Larry Young provides lead vocals for ACE & Friends and is also the lead singer in Laughin' Bones, a Grateful Dead tribute band that has performed throughout the tribute-state areas since the late 1980s

Stephanie Hartwell-Mandella , vocals- Stephanie provides lead and backup vocals for ACE & Friends. Stephanie performs with a number of area Grateful Dead and other cover bands including Reflections, Grosvenor's Squares , After Midnight and 710 Experiment

Osvin Yanes, bass guitar, full of youth and energy, is a later-comer to the Dead music scene. Listening to Phil Lesh has been an eye-opening experience. Osvin also participates in several musical projects, and is adept and proficient in a wide variety of genres.

Brian Zito, bass guitar. Brian is been involved with a number of musical projects in the tristate area for decades, which includes being the bass player for Laughin' Bones for the last 25 years

Chris Bujdud, drums Chris and Larry Young started a predecessor to what became Laughin' 'Bones 40+ years ago and together with the other original members of the 'Bones created the leading Grateful Dead tribute band in the area, performing weekly or more for a span of about 20 years, and continues to perform a few times per year.

Todd Weiss, drums, Todd is a 5-time Emmy Award winning Technical Supervisor at CBS and a Grateful Dead fan since 1970. Todd went to over 350 Grateful Dead Shows beginning in 1977 at Englishtown, NJ thru 1995. Todd performs with other Grateful Dead tribute band and other musical projects in the tri-state area.
